Survey question: What is more important - more time with Ate or more milk for Ate?
Clearly we can source out milk from other nursing moms. The supply won’t be as steady but we can supplement with powdered or fresh goats milk. We can’t always have donated breastmilk forever. She’s 19 months already! It’s a miracle she’s had almost 100% human breastmilk since I stopped giving her from my own breasts after she turned 1 year old. She takes at least 3 bottles a day and each bottle is at least 6oz. Sometimes it’s 10oz a bottle.
Yogurt milk was also suggested although the available ones are usually sweetened. She seemed to like the yogurt she tried two weekends ago.
Time. Well, that cannot be replaced. Once it passes, it’s gone forever.
Instead of pressuring myself to produce more breastmilk for Ate, I should just spend more time with her. Ant gets enough breastmilk for herself. So that should be fine. I need to take off the self inflicted pressure.
