Anya's Learning Area

We converted our little living room to my therapy area. The first time mom showed it to me, I kept staring at the floor and was very much delighted because I enjoy looking at the high contrast colors of black and white. I also like my big red gymnastics ball!

And my hammock is where I take some of my afternoon naps while mom rocks it to improve my vestibular senses.

Teacher Anna was happy to see the place and she had mom do some more equipment that will help me. Wait til mom uploads those!

  10. I know the brain is dynamic. Things Anya is not capable now of doing she will be in the future because the brain is a wonderful piece of creation. Keep doing what you are doing and give her a lot of fat , yes, animal fat as in butter, cream, ice-cream. These are things the brain thrives on. Oh, fish oil too is a must. Stimulate her with different tactile materials and different sounds. Change her views of her environment by carrying her, taking her outside to the garden perhaps, and keep talking to her, explaining what she is doing and what you are doing. I am optimistic for Anya because I see parents who care.

  11. Hi Krissy....I am a mother myself and I just stumbled on your site. I really feel for little Anya. I hope and will pray that she will recover and always be healthy.

May isa lang akong concern...I am not sure with the hammock. I bought one for my baby a long time ago and I read somewhere na it is not safe for our babies. I think it would be nice if you could just improvise her duyan instead of using this particular hammock (yung duyan na ginagamit sa probinsya using a big blanket or malong na ipapasok mo sa kahoy...I think mas safe yun kesa sa ganitong hammock. Yung ginawa namin sa baby namin yung duyan niya inattach namin sa crib niya...para kung mahulog man siya diretso siya sa malambot na foam ng crib pa rin...

May God bless Anya, you and your family Krissy...
