Ate's 4th Birthday

What a slow weekend this has been.  For a busy weekend, we took it real slow.  I was also a bit grumpy the last few days.  Must be the stress at work and the clutter at home getting to me.  I really wonder how other working moms do it.  Working moms without helpers!  Bravo to you!

This weekend was my 3?th birthday, Ate's 4th and Father's day.  So what did we do?

For my birthday, I went to work.  Then attended Holy Mass with Ant and hubs.  Then was treated to a Thai dinner by my folks.  Both Ate and Ant slept late.  Ooops!

For Ate's birthday, we woke up late. Teehee.  Attended Holy Mass at noon - all of us.  Saw a family I look up to but didn't get the chance to talk to them.  The dad is a motivational speaker.  Just hung out at home and did some crafts with the kids.  Ant took a really looooong afternoon nap to make up for her lack of sleep.

Ate's therapist had this brilliant idea of putting together popsicle sticks to form a triangle in order to teach Ate the shape of a triangle.  Then she painted it with her hands.  I thought we could do it with circles and make balloons for her birthday.

Ant covered all the circles with yellow and blue.  Somewhere along the way, she discovered green :)

Colored sand and sticker paper.  This came in a cake design so this is the cake for Ate!  Lovingly made by Ant under very close supervision.  Ant usually just mixes all the sand.
Assembled my mama.
Ice cream bought by papa!  Hahaha!  No time to bake!

Playing = Learning

Oh dear what a bad busy momma I've been.  Haven't done any BFIAR themed activities lately.  Well, at least our summer was busy with play dates and swimming.

Okay loosen up and don't be uptight.  It was still a learning period for the kids regardless of not having the "lesson plan" prepared.  Thank goodness they are still Tots and have the natural ability to "teach" themselves when momma is too busy.

School officially starts for Ant and Ate's peers.  Their cousins are ready and friends in FB post their kids in school gear.  Wonder when we'll begin.  Ant is in her diapers half the time at home!  Maybe I should fix up the playroom.

Anyway, as long as we keep playing together, I'm quite sure there is some learning going on.
